Quest and Junior Quest

For more than 50 years, "Highlights for Children" has left an indelible imprint on the hearts and minds of tens of millions of children.

Highlights has accepted many stories and retellings of folktales from Chitra.

Chitra Soundar edited as a consultant these two magazines in 2005. The editor's chair provided a great insight into yet another aspect of children's publishing.

 

YG- Young Generation

KidZone - Arts, culture and more

Chitra has contributed general and science articles for 
YG - a bi-lingual magazine in English and Mandarin from SNP Panpac targeted at primary school children in Singapore.

KidZone magazine has published two Culture Zone spreads written by Chitra, in 2004 - one on India and other about NZ. 

Fun for Kidz - Filled with activities and games

The School Magazine

Fun for Kidz and Boys' Quest have accepted over 5 articles on various topics including extreme sports, science-based fiction and riddles.

Chitra's science activity on volcanoes appeared in  The School Magazine, Australia - published by the NSW Department of Education and Training, believed to be t he oldest children's literary magazine in English.

Watch out for a retelling of an Indian folktale in the School Journal, New Zealand in an early 2006 issue.
