Chitra Soundar created and runs The Colourful Bookshelf.

It is an initiative to support  published British kidlit authors and illustrators by providing a shopfront on Bookshop.org and providing other useful resources for published creators on this website. 

​Through this initiative Chitra promote books by authors and illustrators of colour , highlight new publications, deals and create resources for parents and teachers to use with young readers.
