- The recipe can be real or imaginary – like the recipe to make pasta sauce (or) the recipe for a magic potion
- The recipe can be abstract like a recipe for success or a recipe for friendship •
- Try writing it as if it’s either your first chapter or in the middle before things get worse for the protagonist or in the climax
