Today is World Environment Day – so draw your muse from nature. [This was a prompt from 5 June. However nature is around us all the time, use the prompt to write any day of the year.]
Like every good haiku that invokes nature in its metaphors and symbols. Write from an image of nature – it could be the familiar park you run in, or the polar ice or the oceanside of waves. You can incorporate nature by
- using metaphors or
- a story about a habitat or
- using the shape of natural elements – like shape poems in the shape of a leaf or a star or
- the motions of words that whoosh like the wind or slow down like a tiger stalking its prey.
