Chitra Soundar has run hundreds of workshops in primary and secondary schools across the world – teaching children develop their imagination and creativity, construct stories and develop their writing and oral storytelling skills.

With practical experiences of teaching children of all ages how to construct a story, write a poem or make up a joke or tell an oral story, Chitra brings a wealth of knowledge into seminars and CPD sessions aimed at teachers who have to inspire writing for pleasure in schools.

Chitra has run workshops for teachers and university students studying to be teachers – to help them understand how to break down a story, how to inspire children to create stories and how to build skills from a younger age to nurture creativity.

Thank you so much for all your work with the HIAS English team, Chitra. It was a pleasure to have you on board. I think Pattan’s Pumpkin has gone down a storm!
