Imagine your character finding something that belongs to someone else on the street (or a bus or train or on the beach). Or they could be scouring in a charity shop or find themselves searching a lost and found property box.
Write a scene where your character finds an object in such a setting.
- Do they see something interesting?
- Why is this object interesting to them?
- Does it remind them of someone or something or some place?
- You can write a poem or a diary entry too.
- You can also write it from your own experience as a journal rather than from the POV of your character.
