Characters can be brought to life and made 3-dimensional by giving them specific mannerisms and/or habits. We all consciously or unconsciously have ways of doing things, talking styles, and movements and postures that make us unique.
Create a table of all characters in your story. For each character – write one habit and one mannerism. Then tell us if any of those habits and mannerisms annoy or please others.
